Flowers From the Flock: Needle-Felted Sunflowers
Celebrate sunflower season by turning locally raised wool into a cheerful bloom that will never wilt!
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn the art of needle felting as you create your own sunflower from wool grown right here in Colorado. You'll shape petals, build the flower's center, and add leaves and a stem to create a finished piece that's ready to display or gift.
No prior felting experience is needed. Whether you're brand new to fiber arts or have felted before, you'll leave with a beautiful handmade sunflower and the confidence to continue exploring this cozy craft.
You’ll Learn:
Needle‑felting basics and safe tool use
How to sculpt petals, centers, and stems
Techniques for shaping and refining wool into floral forms
Tips for color blending and adding personality to your blooms
You’ll Take Home:
One or two handcrafted needle-felted sunflowers—finish one during class and, if time allows, start a second. If you don't complete it, you'll head home with the skills and the needles you need to finish at your own pace.

Looking for an even bigger fiber adventure?
This workshop also has an optional Wet Felting Workshop add-on earlier in the day. During this session, you'll create your own custom felt sheet using colorful wool, silk, bamboo, locks, and other specialty fibers. Your handmade felt can become the foundation for your sunflower that evening—or you can save it for a future project.
Between workshops, we'll gather for a relaxed community potluck before diving into our sunflowers.

Join us for the evening sunflower workshop. All materials and tools are included, and no previous felting experience is required.
🧶 Wet Felting + Sunflowers Bundle | 2:30–8:00 PM | $115
Make it a full afternoon of fiber arts! Your bundle ticket includes:
A Wet Felting Workshop (2:30–4:30 PMish) where you'll create your own custom felt sheet using colorful wool, silk, bamboo, locks, and other specialty fibers.
A relaxed community potluck (5:30 PM) between workshops. Bring a favorite appetizer, snack, dessert—homemade or store-bought, everything is welcome! It's a chance to meet fellow makers, swap ideas, and enjoy one of the best parts of the fiber arts community: creating together.
Admission to the Needle-Felted Sunflowers Workshop (5:30–8:00 PM), where you can incorporate your handmade felt sheet into your sunflower if you'd like—or simply save it for another project.
